Paycheck

I need a paycheck! I just looked at my bank accounts. . .my checking has less than the balances on my credit cars. (BofA Credit Card and a Victoria's Secret Credit Card).

Silly school fees and semi-annual sale.

I thankfully have one small paycheck to deposit (yay staffing open houses for money last weekend!) that will cover my credit card bills. But how am I going to survive during my visit to Texas in 25 days?!

I also just realized how much I spent last year. I thought I had saved quiet a bit from the money I earned at Heinz, but I didn't! (thank you w-2s for informing me on how much I made) I also thought I had saved some of my Southwestern tuition refund. . .only to find out that I didn't save much (Being a senior was expensive!)

I am seriously super frugal. . .how did I spend soo much money in 2010?! I wish I had continued logging my expenses last year on my excel spread sheet; I do know that over a span of three months (July to October) I spent nearly $500 on gas, $600 on school fees and textbooks, and $3,000 overall. wow.

Givesmehope

I really really really appreciate the givesmehope website! It is such an encouraging page that helps me smile even when I don't feel like smiling.

Space

A facebook "friend" (aka an acquaintance from high school) posted this on her profile a couple of minutes ago.

"If someone wants to be apart of your life, they'll make an effort to be in it. . .don't bother reserving a space in your heart for someone who dosen't make an effort to stay"

Unfortunately, I think I have "reserved a space" for friends who don't care about me. :/ I wish I could fill that space with someone else, but I can't :(

SOTU

"I might not come from a family of college graduates, but I will be the [one of the] first to get my degree. I might not know those people in trouble, but I think I can help them, and INEED to TRY!"

Fake

I am finding fake people really annoying.

I am also finding acquaintances really frustrating.

oh, oh, and I am also really hurt by people who I considered to be some of my best friends who now don't respond to my snail mail, emails or Facebook messages. I think what bothers me the most is that I care that they aren't responding-when they obviously don't care about me.

Going Rogue

I've had the phrase, "going rogue" in my head these last couple of days and I realized I want to go rogue. The kind of "going rogue" that 'ceases to follow orders' and 'to act as one's own, without following orders and expectations'

I am contemplating quitting Facebook again for a couple of weeks.

hmmmm.

Number 27

I started my "100 Things to do before I die" List several months ago. . .I am no where near finishing it. . .
but I do get to say that I am working on Number 27, "Learn Sign Language!"

I had my first ASL class on Tuesday and I could not get the smile off my face throughout the three hour interactive lecture! I learned soooo many useful words in just one day! I've been practicing to myself and teaching myself some of my favorite words, such as "hope" "love" "texas" and "california" SOOO ExCiTeD!

Despite

Despite the fact that I woke up at 6:30, today went pretty well. My class starts at 7:30 and I have a self rule of being in class, on the first day a minimum of 20 minutes early, so I was very unhappy when I woke up to see the clock read 6:30am. I had intended to leave my house close to that hour!

Despite having to sit through a five hour class (Lecture for an hour and a half followed by a laboratory component) I wasn't totally miserable! I did almost fall asleep, but it was great to hear the lecture and think "I know what he is talking about" (yay Southwestern education! haha:)

Ready. Set. Go!

I start classes today! I am just now getting to bed and my multiple alarms are going to ring in less than five hours. It looks like I am going to start the new academic year on the right foot (sarcasm).

I realized, as I was towel drying my hair a couple of minutes ago, that I graduated last year. Super weird.

I did have a very wonderful Sunday. Went to mass (I will, with guilt, reveal that as I was sitting in the pews and thought, "Church is a waste of my time today". . .more on that note on a later date). Drove my uncle to Patterson. Played Brisca with my Unlce (Brisca is one of my favorite card games! and my uncle is also one of my favorites :). Watched "The Last House on the Left" with my tio and Nina while I did my nails. Watched the first 20 minutes of Percy Jackson and then played Mario Kart on the N64! (My favorite childhood video game!). Drove home at night, on the back roads with the music blaring (Also one of my favorite activities). All in all a very "favorite" filled day.
